Richard S. Carson
Chairman and Founder
Richard Carson founded Richard S. Carson & Associates, Inc., a computer security services consulting firm with more than 30 years of industry and federal government experience. This security consultancy, which would later be merged with SAINT Corporation to form Carson & SAINT, offered focused expertise in security risk assessments, vulnerability and penetration testing, security policy, and certification and accreditation. He has served as chairman since 1998. He focuses on long-term issues involving infrastructure and finances. He has been a visionary in identifying new business areas and developing strategic partnerships. Richard is also a local community leader.
Diane Reilly
President
Diane has 30 years of experience delivering IT services to government and commercial clients. She also has more than 27 years of program management experience, managing projects across the IT spectrum, including large and complex systems. She has specialized experience in cybersecurity, risk management, change management, data integration, and IT capital planning and investment control. Diane is responsible for selling, managing, and developing new business concerning management consulting and cyber services in the federal marketplace and industry. Her duties include preparing corporate bids and proposals, program development, staff development, and maintaining customer relationships. She is responsible for overseeing and delivering operations for all management and IT security consulting projects across the company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Science and Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Maryland.
Sam Kline
Chief Technical Officer
Sam Kline joined the company in 1999 as the chief development engineer, providing the security expertise and software development talent to drive the transformation of Carson & SAINT from an open-source tool into a full-featured commercial scanning suite. He became CTO in 2009 and is currently responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of technology development. He provides engineering and architecture oversight for the SAINT Security Suite and design and deployment of new vulnerability assessment and penetration testing capabilities in SAINT products. Before joining Carson & SAINT, Sam was a key force behind the proactive defense of the Pentagon’s information systems in his role as supervisor of network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Sam has a B.S., magna cum laude in Electrical and Civil Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.S. in Computer Science and Applications from Virginia Tech. He is a recognized expert in the information security industry, having spoken at a variety of conferences and universities.
Randall Laudermilk
Vice President of Business Development
Randall Laudermilk joined the company in 2009 and is responsible for establishing strategic alliances and technical partnerships. Randy brings a unique combination of business, market, and technology acumen. He has a vast range of experience in the IT field, including 25 years of experience in both IT professional services and product management. Randy has an extensive background in business development and has been instrumental in developing several corporate and product strategies that facilitate increased customer value and revenue potential for our partners. He served in the U.S. Air Force and later held a position with the Joint Staff’s Special Operations Division at the Pentagon. Randy also completed professional study at the Performance Institute and earned an M.S. in Information Systems from Marymount University. He is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and a member of the Scrum Alliance.
Quinn Hopkins
Sr. Marketing Manager
Quinn Hopkins serves as head of the Marketing Department. He graduated with Bachelor of Science in Marketing at Penn State University in 2020. With a comprehensive skill set encompassing digital marketing, branding, sales processes, SEO, e-commerce, email marketing, and trade shows, Quinn orchestrates a wide range of initiatives to elevate the company’s brand presence and drive customer acquisition. He plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s identity and fostering customer loyalty. From spearheading innovative digital marketing campaigns to orchestrating impactful brand appearances, Quinn’s dedication to excellence propels the company forward in the competitive cybersecurity landscape, positioning us as a trusted leader in the industry.
Eric Krotenberg
Account Executive
Eric joined the team in 2022 with six years of industry experience as an Account Executive, he specializes in onboarding new partners and security teams for Carson & SAINT. Holding a bachelor’s degree in economics from Arizona State University, his primary focus is on ensuring the satisfaction and operational efficiency of Carson & SAINT partners and clients. Leveraging expertise in IT compliance, vulnerability management, configuration and risk analysis, penetration testing, and asset management, he is dedicated to facilitating seamless transitions and optimizing experiences for all stakeholders.
